Team Change

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about goals. I know they are wildly celebrated in hockey. I know I work better when I set them. So I’ve decided to start my own team. Want to join?

To join Team Change, just set a goal, or two or three. It doesn’t have to be a big goal – a goal is a goal is a goal. You can state it out loud, or keep it to yourself – that doesn’t matter. But set it. And when you reach it – let the team know and we will celebrate with you!

And don’t forget that in hockey, assists are just as important as goals. Do you need an assist to reach your goal? Just ask! Can you assist someone else? Speak up!

So as the first member of the team – I’m going to set 2 goals.

  • To lose 2 pounds each month. Whatever I weigh on the first of the month, I want to weigh at least 2 pounds less on the last day of the month. I didn’t put the weight on in one or two months, so there’s no sense trying to take it all off in only one or two months. I hate dieting, so I’d rather just eat more sensibly and get more exercise. It’s slower, but doable.
  • To write 3 mornings a week. Doesn’t matter if it’s crap, it just matters that I get back into the habit of writing consistently. I’m happier when I write. It’s hard work, but I want to do it.

Stats – if on the last day of the month, I weigh 2 pounds less than I did on the first day of the month – GOAL!

– if by Saturday each week, I’ve written 3 mornings – GOAL!

So, who wants to join TEAM CHANGE? You can state your goal(s) here, or keep them to yourself. What’s important is when you “score” a goal, to let the team know so we can celebrate with you! GO TEAM!!!
