A Weighty Problem – Update 2

It’s been awhile since I updated you on my journey to shed some poundage.

After five months of being on Weight Watchers (on-line, so I don’t have to go to meetings), I have reached 64% of my goal! It has been a very positive experience.

Of course, I wanted to keep this “real”, so I went off the program over Christmas and New Years. I really enjoyed eating and drinking whatever I wanted over the holidays. I really enjoyed it. Then it took the first three weeks of January to re-lose what I gained! But it was worth it. ๐Ÿ™‚

So what ‘s the good news?

  • The pants that used to be difficult to do up, I can now slip on without undoing them.
  • I’ve started jog/walking at the track again and my knees are not complaining.
  • I feel better, and have more energy.
  • I’m proud of how I’ve done.

I’m not actively tracking everything I eat anymore, but I am still following the program. If I don’t lose another pound, I’m still okay with what I’ve accomplished. And if I continue to lose, I’m okay with that, too.

A Weighty Problem – Update 1

Well, it’s been a month since I decided to feel better and joined Weight Watchers. It has been good. It feels less like dieting and more like just eating better. So I don’t have my usual dieting grump on. Which is definitely good for me and everyone else I’m around!

After one month I’m happy to say I’ve reached 24% of my goal. My pants are a little looser, too. Bonus! I had some slips but that’s okay. Another thing I like about this program is that each day is a new start. So, onward and downward!

A Weighty Problem

I’m now the heaviest I’ve ever been. ๐Ÿ™ ย And before you start reassuring me that it’s what’s inside that matters yada yada yada, I know. And I completely agree. BUT – I don’t feel healthy. That’s why I’ve decided it’s time to do something about it.

I’ve joined Weight Watchers. As much as it pains me to pay someone to help me eat less, I know I need the structure of a program to succeed. That’s just the way I am.

So why blog about this? Well, if I declare a goal publicly I know I have a better chance of reaching it. I’m stubborn that way.

No, there will be no before and after pictures. I won’t be updating every week to say how many ounces I’ve lost or even what my goal is. At the beginning of each month post what percentage of my goal I’ve reached. That’s all. That’s enough – both for you and for me.

Wish me luck!
