Mystery Solved

I’m finally getting around to going through my pictures from my trip to Victoria at the end of March. Here’s a moth I found at Goldstream Provincial Park. I’m better at IDing birds than I am at butterflies and moths, so I’m posting a link to the BC Butterflies group for some help. Thanks in advance!

Update: Thanks to Mike and Norbert from the BC Butterflies group – it’s an Epirrhoe plebeculata. I guess not all moths have common names! That’s one more thing I’ve learned today.

Monday Memory

I made a new memory yesterday by going to Gardenscape to see the butterflies. It was as awesome as I had hoped. And it was great to see so many families there and kids who were so excited. Here are my best butterfly pics:

Birds and Butterflies

I saw lots of birds while hiking and camping in the Meadow Lake Park this last week. The pictures aren’t spectacular, but I figure even a poor picture is better than no picture! I think I’ve identified them correctly, but if you notice I’ve made a mistake please let me know. I’m a relative newbie birder and happy to learn from my mistakes. Thanks!
