St. Brieux Regional Park

I first went to St. Brieux Regional Park in June with my friends Debbie and Dave. We try to go to one new Regional Park each year. I liked it so much I went back on my own this last week for a few days. A lovely little beach and the water looked good (I forgot my bathing suit, so didn’t actually go in). There’s a fishing dock, which I used but only caught “salad”. That’s okay. I find fishing relaxing. Actually catching something is a bonus. Plus there is a very nice “nature trail” between the beach and the cabins. It’s where I saw these two juvenile Northern Saw-whet Owls, a Great Crested Flycatcher (a lifer!) and a Great Spangled Frittilary (also a lifer). I’ll definitely be going back. It’s my new favourite Regional Park.
